True Beauty

TRUE BEAUTY is a 2020 tvN webtoon-based romantic-comedy about a teenager who was bullied in her school because of her appearance so she transformed herself into a "goddess" through makeup when she transferred to another school. This stars Moon Ga Young as Lim Ju Kyung, Cha Eun Woo as Lee Su Ho and Hwang In Yeop as Han Seo Jun. I got interested in this drama because of the storyline and the cast.

I first saw Cha Eun Woo in "Gangnam Beauty". On the other hand, I first saw Moon Ga Young in "Tempted" with Woo Do Hwan and then "Find Me In Your Memory" with Kim Dong Wook. Hwang In Yeop is new actor but I really have to commend him for choosing the right korean dramas to be in. I think that this drama and his previous one, "18 Again", contributed to the rise of his popularity these days.

MR QUEEN is a 2020 tvN romantic-comedy which stars Shin Hye Sun and Kim Jung Hyun. It is about a man named Bong Hwan ( Choi Jin Hyuk ) from the modern age who gets trapped in the body of Kim So Yang/Queen Cheorin (Shin Hye Sun) of the Joseon Dynasty.

I'm not fond of "saeguk" or historical dramas but I got curious because of the reviews of netizens. At the same time, I wanted to check out Kim Jung Hyun who previously starred in "Crash Landing On You".

I'm currently in Episode 18 and this drama is surprisingly fun to watch. I can't help but fall in love with this " No Touch" couple. 😍

A Love So Beautiful

"A Love So Beautiful" is the korean version of a 2017 Chinese romantic comedy series which is based on the novel entitled "To Our Pure Little Beauty". This drama revolves around the life of three high school students. Each episode lasts for 20-30 minutes only but it's a nice stress reliever after a long day. It's fun to watch because it'll remind you of your high school days when your problems revolve around your crushes, grades and extracurricular activities. Another thing which amazes me ( but this is a common practice in korean dramas) is that the characters are portrayed by actors who are already in their 20s. Kim Yo Han who plays Cha Heon is 21 years old. So Joo Yeon who plays Shin Sol-i is 27 years old. Yeo Hoe Hyun who plays Woo Dae Seong is 26 years old.
